Description
Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 資訊工程學系碩士班 === 95 === Optical network backbone is the best way to satisfy the requirement of Internet bandwidth growing huger. However, optical random access memory (ORAM) is difficultly implemented in the present technology so that the capabilities of burst transmitting and switching are limited in the optical network. Optical Burst Switching (OBS) network is most probably to be materialized between all optical switching technologies due to ORAM is not an essential. In this paper, focusing on OBS, we propose a packet retransmission mechanism to prevent the probable non-real-time packet loss. Meanwhile, we propose the Alternated Prearrangement for Real-Time packets (APRT) algorithm, the burst segmentation and the path change mechanism for reducing the burst loss probability. Simulation results show that, adopting proposed mechanisms in the OBS network, the performances such as packet jitter, packet loss probability and packet delay are conformed to the QoS requirements. And comparing with presented algorithms, indeed, proposed mechanisms outstand and can improve the QoS in the OBS network.
