Description
Summary:碩士 === 美和技術學院 === 經營管理研究所 === 95 === The rapid development of Internet and communication technologies makes the use of internet communication freeware a popular way to communicate in our day-to-day lives. Also, in today’s business environment, transmitting information can be done conveniently through such an application. Thus, it is more important to understand the underlying factors influencing users’ behavioral intentions to use internet communication freeware. That will be instrumental for the future development of internet communication freeware and the emerging applications in modern firms. Based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this study aims at investigating users’ behavioral intentions to use internet communication freeware. The empirical data was collected through college students with prior experiences to use internet communication freeware in the Southern part of Taiwan. Questionnaires were administered to the subjects to collect the empirical data. The scale items of the questionnaire were developed through the related literature reviews. The structural equation modeling technique was applied for the verification of reliability and validities and the test of the proposed research model in this study. The research findings indicate that the constructs of subjective norm and system function in the proposed research model has positive influences on perceived usefulness. In addition, the constructs including subjective norm, system function and self-efficacy also have positive influences on users’ perceived ease of use. Contrary to our hypotheses, users’ self-efficacy has no significant influences on perceived usefulness; as well, personal innovativeness has no positive impacts on the perceptions of usefulness and ease of use. Accordingly, the empirical results, implications and suggestions are provided for academy and practice and that might also serve as critical reference for further research.
