The pollution created, is that packaging are mostly been thrown away after use, not only depletes energy but also seriously effects the environment. In the trend where internationals are valuing environmental protection, the Executive Yuan Environmental Protection Agency, after consulting overseas related regulations and experience, on July 1st 2005, issued the Excessive Product Packaging Restriction proclamation according to the Resources Recycling & Reuse Act, article 13 and 14. This proclamation has created an obvious impact on the industry, and also affected the current packaging design, plan and standard. This study use case study method, stress mainly on the influence to the relevant design department about the announcement that limit the excessive product packaging, analyzing industry's present situation and how to deal with it, then sum up the relations between the characteristic of the design and relevant items. The study mainly found out: (1)According to the analysis of the firm interview results, a plan with 22 points of deal with Excessive Product Packaging Restrictions proclamation has been created. Among it, eight points are what individual case companies have adopted as coping plans. Respectively, they are no printing, using colored paper as packaging material, a structure made from one piece of material, simplified production process, modify current structure, molding to save paper, using one sole material, utilizing window reverse folding, considering the paper weight and so on. These methods all saves cost, simultaneously, and strives to contribute to environmental protection, which also fits in with the environmental results that the proclamation wants to achieve. (2)After the proclamation from the Environmental Protection Agency, the design standards established by individual companies, in response to environmental protection to prevent fines, all fits in with the proclamation restriction range as the main basis. (3)From the characteristic analysis of the actual individual packaging case shows distinct packaging features can be the intention for analysis, its content includes the discussion of all structure characteristics, function characteristics, exterior characteristic etc. This proclamation certainly can reduce the damage to the environment created by excessive packaging. The proclamation regulations also enable individual company to have reasons to persuade customers to adopt minimal packaging. The adjustment in design by the individual company is all within the proclamation restrictions. On the basis of obeying the law, at the same time of satisfying customer needs, one can reduce production costs. Hsu, Yen 許言 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 182 zh-TW
