Description
Summary:碩士 === 中興大學 === 生命科學院碩士在職專班 === 95 === Chitosan is a biodegradable and antibacterial polymer. Non-woven has been used due to its porosity, allowing ventilation and high surface area. In this study, chitosan non-woven fabric was modified by infiltration with gold nanoparticles. The feasibility of applying such samples to wound dressing was evaluated. This dressing hopefully will have good biocompatibility, improve skin repair, and prevent the wound healing from complication of scar formation and wound contract. Chitosan incorporated with various concentrations of gold (Au) nanoparticles was studied. The optimal concentration was determined. It was found that chitosan containing 40 ppm Au showed the best cell growth. Since the hydrophobic surface of chitosan non-woven had limited its application, rayon complexes with chitin was also tested. The component ratio of the materials was 1:1 or 1:3 chitin (C)-rayon (R). These blends were found to possess good biocompatibility and water uptake ability. Chitosan non-woven containing Au nanoparticles also demonstrated an improving effect on wound healing and tissue repair in the animal model. Histological examination showed an advanced epithelialization in rat skin wounds treated with chitosan-Au sponges. In conclusion, chitosan containing Au could enhance cell proliferation and wound healing.
