And then based on the result of the study, the location of high potential hazard area of rural settlement is determined. It will also provide reference for future land use plans and hazard prevention plans for government departments in use. For this study, the first approach is to review relevant documents of factors including geology, slope, mudflows and landslide etc, and the second is to put the mentioned factors into the HCM device to establish criterion principle and matrix for classifying hazard potential. Finally, the GIS is applied to undertake hazard evaluation and to draw a classification map of hazard assessment of rural settlement. Following the above research, this study concludes that 65% of the total study area of 75,983 ha is treated as high potential hazard. There is one quarter of rural settlement area of 122 ha is location at high risk, while one sixth of road area of 185 ha counted as high risk as well. 林六合 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 80 zh-TW
