As a result of it, it constructs the system of “ four seasons, five guts and Yin Yan”, and reflects the whole concept of “the reflection between nature and human beings”. Using food as medicine mainly takes some common materials like vegetables, fruit, grains and poultry or animals, and so on. From the pre-Chin to the Tang dynasty, this treatment builds its foundation by combining the Mother Nature. As the doctors of the Sui and Tang dynasty following, they also prove the results from the clinical treatment. Therefore, it is emphasized on regimen and treatment with food; it is promoted to understand the root of the disease further and treat with food first. The advantage of food medical treatment impresses on avoiding the evil, calming guts, pleasing spirit and increasing energy. The Tang dynasty food treatment which follows the Chin dynasty and creates the characteristics of the Song and Yuang dynasty plays a quite vital part in the history of ancient Chinese food medical development. An aim of our observations was to understand the Tang vegetarian social life by the Tang Buddhistic meatless life, the way of evitable disease and regimen, festival diet and common diet treatment to construct inheritance and development to the fashion of using food as medicine in the Tang dynasty. 宋德喜 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 272 zh-TW
