A review of related literature was conducted to understand whether male and female students have equal opportunity to receive higher education. And also the discrimination coefficient (D) and the gender parity index (GPI) were used as measures. Besides, some suggestions for educational administrators were provided. The results are as follows: I. Access to higher education 1. Both male and female students almost have equal access to higher education. 2. Male students have greater access to doctor and master programs than female. 3. Female students have greater access to bachelor and junior college programs. II. Difference in college selectivity 1. A holistic view (1) Humanity: Women's educational opportunity is greater access to the male educational opportunity. (2) Societies: Women's educational opportunity is greater access to the male educational opportunity. (3) Science and technology: The male educational opportunity is greater access to women's educational opportunity. 2. Difference in access study program (1) Doctor and master programs A. Humanity: Women's educational opportunity is greater access to the male educational opportunity. B. Societies: The male educational opportunity is greater access to women's educational opportunity. C. Science and technology: The male educational opportunity is greater access to women's educational opportunity. (2) Bachelor & Junior College programs A. Humanity: Women's educational opportunity is greater access to the male educational opportunity. B. Societies: Women's educational opportunity is greater access to the male educational opportunity.
