Summary:碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 土木工程研究所 === 95 === In this study, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) are used to investigate the optimal design of multiport diffuser systems. The internal hydraulics of diffuser are calculated by the energy equation of pipe flow, and the flow rate and velocity distribution inside the diffuser pipe show good agreement with experimental results. Then, this model is integrated with the Particle Swarm Optimization scheme to find out the optimal combination of diffuser parameters, such as diffuser length, diameters of diffuser and port, and number of risers. The results of optimization are compared with the results of Genetic Algorithm. In addition, non-uniform diffuser has better performance, in terms of pumping head and velocity range, as compared with the uniform diameter diffuser.
