Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 家庭教育研究所 === 95 === The Purpose of this study is to explore the relationship among the parent-children relationship, locus of control and prosocial behavior of elementary school children. The method of this study is questionnaire survey. The subjects of this study are 644 six-graders from Changhua County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County and Chiayi City municipal elementary schools. The subjects are tested with the instruments including Basic Information Questionnaire, Parent-Adolescent relationship Scale, and Questionnaire of Elementary School Children’s Prosocial Behavior. The result of the investigation through classification, statistical procedures, discussion, and analysis, reveals the following findings: 1. Elementary school children’s prosocial behavior has much to do with gender differences. Girl students outperform their boy counterparts in both their tendency and performance of prosocial behavior. 2. There are apparent differences for development of prosocial behavior in family types. 3. There was not apparent differences for development of prosocial behavior in the order of birth. 4. There were significant differences in parent-children relationship of the sixth graders based on genders and family types. 5. There were significant differences in locus of control of the sixth graders based on genders. 6. There was a positive correlation between the Parent-children and the prosocial behavior. It is also have positive correlation between the locus of control and the prosocial behavior. According to the findings, the research put forth suggestions to be referred to in studies and applied in educational counseling in the future.
