Therefore, this study was conducted to fill one of the existing gaps. Through in-depth interviews, five preschool teachers were recruited to learn their interacting experiences with new immigrant parents. Findings indicate that the participant teachers wished to treat all the parents in the class equally without discriminating in favor of new-immigrant parents; however, they found the ideal hard to put into practice. Multi-factors of parents, students and teachers themselves were intertwined to intrigue various uncertainties as well confusions when facing the ineloquent and distant new immigrant parents. The prevailing negative stereo-typed images of new-immigrant populations have exerted certain influences upon the participants. Nevertheless, to most participants, their interacting experiences with new-immigrant parents were positive, despite the fact that mutual relationships were remote. The goodness of fit in language between the participants and the new-immigrant parents was one of the important factors that set obstacles for their further communication and the interactions. In addition to that, the school didn’t offer adequate solutions and necessary assistance. To participants, they found that the difficulties evolved from new-immigrant parents often differed much from those of the native ones. When communicating with the new-immigrants, the teachers often encountered difficult situations. During the process of the research, most teachers attempted to better this status, but it was actually not that easy. Insufficient abilities and work-overload deferred their strength to match their ambitions. For future work, it’s imperative to explore how to improve the relationship between teachers and new-immigrant parents.
