In this study, we exploit the novel method to create the criterions to arbitrate the software of virtual environment. Two cases of virtual software were examined in this investigation. While the one was build up by the academic community the other was constructed by the private enterprise. The first part of this thesis aims the mission statement, background and the establishment process of the software. The second part discourses the suggestions and appreciations of the teachers instructing in the computer or natural science in a primary school. These comments are based on the six directions including the “attraction”, “context accuracy”, “interaction between the user and software”, “medium quality”, “accommodation of school kids” and “adaptable learning tool”. In the final section, we observed the actual situation when three elementary school students used the virtual software. A brief summary of this research is listed as the following: 1. The excellent software of virtual environment can be achieved by combining the various advantages of the two kinds of the software. 2. The science misunderstandings may result from the inapposite arrangement of software. Therefore, the teacher plays an important role in class when the software is used. 3. We need to remember that the purpose of the software is the study and not just a game. According to the above conclusion, the suggestions are provide for the designer of virtual environment and follow-up studies. Mei-yu, Chang 張美玉 學位論文 ; thesis 151 zh-TW
