碩士 === 國立花蓮教育大學 === 生態與環境教育研究所 === 95 === This research not only aims to find out the status of the knowledge and attitudes to alien species of elementary school teachers in Yilan County, but also explores the relationship among demographic variables and the knowledge and attitudes to alien species. In addition, it investigates the correlation between the knowledge and attitudes to alien species. In order to achieve the aim of the research, this research adopts questionnaire survey techniques and takes stratified random samples from elementary school teachers in Yilan County. Altogether there are 251 effective samples, the percentage of valid collected questionnaires is 86.33%. The findings of the research are as follows: 1. The main sources of the knowledge to alien species of elementary school teachers in Yilan County are “Television”, “news papers”, and “Internet”. 2. Regarding to the scale of the knowledge to alien species: the average overall score is 83.21. In this scale, the part of “influences of alien species” is scored higher, but the parts of “definition of alien species” and “management of alien species” are scored lower. 3. The demographic factors such as sex, major studying field, teaching experiences in the field of nature science, taken environmental lessons will affect the scores of the knowledge to alien species and achieved a significant difference in statistics. On the other side, demographic factors such as age, diploma attained, and participation of environmental society will not affect the scores of the knowledge to alien species. 4. Regarding to the scale of the attitudes to alien species: the average overall score is 85.73. In this scale, the part of “responsible consciousness to alien species problem” is scored higher than the others. 5. The demographic factors such as diploma attained, major studying field, teaching experiences in the field of nature science, participation of environmental society, and taken the environmental lessons will affect the scores of the attitudes to alien species and achieved a significant difference in statistics. On the other side, demographic factors such as sex and age will not affect the scores of the attitudes to alien species. 6. This research found that there was significant positive correlation between measurement of both the knowledge and attitudes to alien species from elementary school teachers in Yilan County.
