Description
Summary:碩士 === 高雄餐旅學院 === 餐旅管理研究所 === 95 === This study examined the relationship of personality traits, job satisfaction and counterproductive work behaviors (CWB), based on a sample of hotel employees. The study also examined whether differences in behavior exist between employees of different demographic characteristics. Pearson correlations were assessed to determined relationships between the variables, while Independent-samples t test and one-way analysis of variance techniques were applied to analyze the differences in behaviors. Results showed that three personality traits (agreeableness, conscientiousness, and emotion stability) and job satisfaction were negatively related to CWB. In addition, results also showed that age and salary were associated with CWB. Hotel management are encouraged to consider the use of personality tests in the selection of hotel employees as the results suggest that certain traits are related to counterproductive work behaviors.
