In practice, returning the defective items to the vendors is one of the popular ways. However, it was discussed less in the previous literature. Furthermore, uncertainty is another problem that purchasers usually need to face during the purchasing process, such as the uncertainty of demand and purchasing price. For those uncertain situations, fuzzy theory is usually employed to solve the problem. The purpose of this research is to discuss the fuzzy EOQ model with imperfect items. In this study, the EOQ model with imperfect items being returned was discussed. Then, the parameters in the model, demand, imperfective rate and purchasing price, were fuzzed. For validate the model, the above 3 parameters with triangle fuzzy numbers were investigated, and several sets of number examples were constructed to explain the characteristics and applications of the model. The results are practical that can provide useful information for purchasers to make their inventory policies.
