The term of metamaterial is presently applied to artificial discrete media showing “exotic” electromagnetic properties at microwave frequencies. Metamaterials include the materials of negative dielectric permittivity, negative magnetic permeability media and left-handed media (LHM) with simultaneously negative electric permittivity and magnetic permeability. In the experiment, several samples of Split Ring Resonator (SRR) and thin wire at Ku band are designed by adjusting the by the structural parameters. The samples are fabricated by using semiconductor process and measured by using network analyzer.
