This study is based on the general Road traffic accidents data of Kaohsiung City 2003 by National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior, statisticing a number of items at more than 15 hazard traffic sections, which is concerned as an analytical object by confidence interval method. The analysis mode of hazard traffic sections adopt accident severity index, include ETAN, SI, accident severity ratio and Equivalent Injury Only (EIO);and Risk Index (RI). The different computation screens equivalent accident severity, by way of the comparison computed result, adopting EIO is as the foundation to calculate the various projects vehicle along with every traffic section of RI. In the box plot analysis of high risk traffic sections, added by various projects vehicle with RI in Kaousing city, and combined the geography information system (GIS) establish the chart level of traffic sections with attributed material. To divide each high risk sections into every equivalent sector is the purpose of calculating the equivalent accident severity and RI of traffic sections. The investigation on the high risk sector affiliated with the accident condition and the specific cause is in the veiw of danger character to be analyzed, so that proposing the correlation of improvememt to authorities if it is in need.
