Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 成人教育研究所 === 95 === This research aims to investigate the present conditions of job characteristics, work values, and self-efficacy of the personnel officials of Koahsiung City Hall and to explore the predictability of job characteristics, work values, and self-efficacy under the variation and correlation of different background variables. Data are collected through literature review and online surveys and are further analyzed. The reviewed literature includes international and domestic researches concerning job characteristics, work values and self-efficacy. Four hundred and twenty four administrative personnel officials were recruited to participate in the online surveys. The data collection tool is a self-complied questionnaire: The questionnaire on the relationship among job characteristics, work values and self-efficacy. Statistical analyses, such as item analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, Paired T Test , T Test and one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression, were applied to the data using SPSS10.0 software (Chinese version). The results indicate that: 1. The job characteristics of the personnel officials appear middle-up’s extent. Job independency is the most valued characteristic. 2. The work values of the personnel officials appear middle-up’s extent. Job importance is the most emphasized value. 3. The self-efficacy of the personnel officials possesses high level of consciousness. Ability’s consciousness is the most valued level. 4. Male, married, senior, older, senior, or executive personnel officials appear higher work values consciousness. 5. Male, married, senior in his/her office or school, junior in total years of working, executive, administrative personnel officials appear stronger job characteristics consciousness. 6. Male, married, aged over forty, working for over one year in the personnel division, administrative, or executive personnel officials possess higher self-efficacy consciousness. 7. A marked correlation was found among job characteristics, work values, and self-efficacy. 8. Job characteristics and work values can effectively predict self-efficacy. Job independency appears to forecast predictability the most. According to the findings, the research comes up with relative concrete suggestions and methods for applicants and future researchers, and brings up references for personnel executives, chiefs of the organizations, school principals or headmasters, personnel officials, and future researchers.
