These stories stem from my heart, and they also come from the external world; they are related to each other in different ways and expressed through different methods. I yearn for stories, because stories allow people to jump without any boundary with any style imaginable; they free people, make people fly unrestrained across the sky, and secretly install loveliness within people. The process of Printmaking echoes with the imagination in my mind; it allows me to concentrate on expressing my creativity. On the other hand, illustration and picture books, which are generally more tangible and hence more functionality, are the mediums I use to associate with stories. Usually, they allow hidden stories very easy to be understood. It seems simple for pictures to be the mere representation of words occasionally or to present sweeter stylization, but the distinct lovely loveliness is not as simple as it looks. Although the purpose of picture books is usually predetermined, I still regard it as an important part of my artistic creation and explore the possibility within it vigorously. It brings me happiness being able to share my enthusiasm of creation with people through my works. This statement mainly focuses on the development and the transformation of my personal creation course after 2000. It shares the most representative works from every stage of my creation and displays my individual thinking and the footprints of my creation course. Each period is closely linked with my mental state and environment at that time; through different incidents and encounters at different time, my creation is transformed and altered accordingly. With this text, I trace back my course of creation from my earliest contact with art to the latest development; it also explains the state of my mind of different periods. I will analyze the thought behind my creation and sum up the sequence of it as well. Hopefully it can also help me determine my position in the art world and make my direction of future creation more distinct. Huang Yue-Sheng 黃郁生 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 147 zh-TW
