碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 森林系所 === 95 === The purpose of this study is to investigate the feasibility of making laminated wood, plywood, and fancy plywood by using the non-formaldehyde system adhesive, such as water based polymer -isocyanate system adhesive. The base resins were blended with modified SBR latex water soluble of Polymer Vinyl Alcohol, Polyvinyl Acetate, Methly Cellulose, etc. and adding suitable ratios of filler, thickening agent, surfactants, defoamers, and crosslinking agent, such as isocyanate with -NCO group of MDI. The water based polymer -isocyanate system adhesive exhibited an excellent binding power in wood work bonding process. The results of this study indicated that water based polymer- isocyanate system adhesive can be used effectively to produce wood-based products without formaldehyde emission. Moreover, it can also meet the requirements for wood gluing as specified in JIS K-6806(2003). Using this system adhesive in plywood and fancy plywood marking also can meet the Type-I requirements as specified in CNS-1394 (1998), and meet the requirements as specified in JAS special natural fancy plywood. Meanwhile the pot life is this system adhesive longer than 3 hours, therefore it is convenient to be industrial used on line.
