碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 教育心理與輔導學系 === 95 === The purpose of this research is to conduct an evaluation research on the university and college counseling centers of Taiwan using the accreditation standards of the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS). The data was collected through surveys sent to counseling centers across Taiwan, and results were calculated quantitatively. The answers to the research questions proposed were generated through data analysis and discussion. First, the accreditation standard of the IACS is appropriate for evaluating Taiwan’s university and college counseling centers. Second, there are no major significant differences between the university and college counseling centers in Taiwan regarding their services. Third, as a whole, Taiwan’s university and college counseling centers have the potential to be accredited by the IACS, with well-preparations in advance. Last, qualification and the distribution of counseling personnel and their workload are the most problematic area in Taiwan’s university and college counseling centers. Recommendations were made for adjustments needed in order to enhance the quality of counseling services provided in Taiwan’s university and college counseling centers.
