Those in democratic countries regulated by law such as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of American, Germany, and France, though difference still existing, also arise from the same place and are all with same characters of professionalism, liberty and independency. Legal system about Taiwan lawyers is not always the same one. There came the system governed by the Japanese Empire first, and system set by the Republic of China followed later. Because of the coincidental similarity between these two systems, the legal system about Taiwan lawyers are not therefore snapped by the handing over of the governance; otherwise still remains continual. Since the legal system set by the Republic of China has applied to Taiwan up to the present, there are still many problems in the legal system about lawyers, such as the methods of education and training, requirements for qualification, regulations of practice. However, the way of reformation keeps straying. This is because the self-position of Taiwan lawyers also keeps swaying.
