Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 航運管理學系 === 95 === Since more and more banks emerging in Taiwan after 1992, the Taiwan financial industry becomes highly competitive. Also because of the changing economic environment, the total number of loans overdue from the Taiwan financial institutions stays high. Problems of credit card debts and cash card debts also contribute to the growth of loans overdue. Credit business is a major bank product, and ratio of loan overdue is a key measurement of the bank credit business. To control the growth of loans overdue, in addition to collecting the bad debts actively, the domestic banks also need to enhance the credit management process including customer qualification, credit assessment, and credit re-assessment after initial loan, in order to detect and prevent problems in early stage. The approach of this research is to find the common symptoms of loan overdue through case analysis in the banking industry, and to identify the shared characteristic indications among overdue loans. Based upon the common indications of loan overdue identified, this research can help the Taiwan domestic banks to improve the credit and loan business management through the processes of planning, plan execution, re-exam and correction.
