The method presented is to use a flexural tool fixture in place of a traditional rigid fixture. We may change the stiffness of the flextural fixture by changing the size of the fixture to adjust different turning conditions and reguirements. We may also assist it with vibration from piezoelectric actuaters.Accordingly the efficiency and quality of turning are improved. We use response surface methodology of statistical experimental design to plan experiments. The regression analysis using the SAS is then applied to obtain mathematical relationships to reflect the influence of turning factors on surface roughnessand roundness, the verification experiments showed the errors are kept within 5%. The results show that the use of the flexural fixture without vibration improves the surface roughness by 29.76% as compared to the rigid fixture. When the flexural fixture is assisted with vibration, the surface roughness is improved even further by 10% . However, the use of the flexural fixture with or without vibration does not significantly improve the roundness. 傅光華 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 105 zh-TW
