To learn music through the experience of every day, the child could be inspired and cultivated the experience of aesthetic of music, to achieve the goal of “A whole-child.” This study of the methodology applied a survey of questionnaire and literatures analysis, to investigate the status of the music education in the private kindergartens of Tao Yuan County. There were a randomly samples from 277 kindergartens in Tao Yuan County; and choose 6 private kindergartens were selected from each of the 13 districts, a total of 78 kindergartens were chosen for this study. This study depended on the current status of music teaching in private kindergartens of Tao Yuan County, the content of music instruction materials in private kindergarten music classes, and the background of music instructors. Then, 4 music instructors were selected as the subject of this study from each kindergarten. From the data analysis, the results of this study were: (1) Orff music pedagogy was mainly applied as the pedagogy of music education by private kindergartens of Tao Yuan County. Group teaching was the main point of Orff music pedagogy. Generally, the instructor taught the music activity of Orff music pedagogy in professional music classroom. (2) The music teaching plans of Tao Yuan private kindergartens were based on the theme units, planned by the individual music instructor, and the form of presentation was a talent development class. (3) The music instructional materials were selected by private kindergartens of Tao Yuan County were mainly rhythmical instruments. (4) Most of the music instructors in the private kindergartens of Tao Yuan County, they had teaching experience from five to ten years, and mostly were educated in professional college majoring in early childhood education. Most of the kindergarten teachers agreed the importance of the music professional skill, but only 50% had the intention of involving the continue education training program of music.
