In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the researcher compiled questionnaires about global knowledge and global attitudes for the sixth graders in Taoyuan County. The sample was consisted of 445 students with collected 408 valid questionnaires from elementary schools. The data were analyzed by using the T-test, Pearson Correlation, One-way ANOVA, and Stepwise Regressions. The results of this study were as follows: A. The students’ global knowledge was satisfied, and their global attitudes were positive. B. The result of the “Global Knowledge” questionnaires showed that there were significant distinctions among different “gender”, “father’s education level” ,“source of information ”, “the experience of cross-culture”, “extracurricular activities” and “self-cognition” students; however, there were no large distinctions among different living habitation. C. The result of the “Global Attitudes” questionnaires showed that there were significant distinctions among “different source of information” and “self-cognition”; besides these two variables, there were no large distinctions among sixth-grade students. D. Students’ global knowledge and global attitudes were positively correlated. E. Among these variables, only “the experience of cross-culture” , “creative thinking skills’’ , “gender” and “source of information ” can predict the global knowledge efficiently; in global attitudes ,only “ global knowledge score’’ and “creative thinking skills’’ have predictability .As the whole study, the students’ personal background variables had limited predictability . According to the results of this study, the following suggestions are proposed: A. Course of the elementary school should be added more global knowledge and global issues, and teachers must have the ability to teach the global issues. B. Teachers and educational-associated should encourage students to increase cross-cultural experience. C. Teachers should strengthen students’ reading habit. D.
