碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 教育心理與諮商學系碩士班 === 95 === The purpose of this thesis was to study the influence on a person whose close relative passed away suddenly. A self narrative approach was adopted. The foci were: 1. how the author treated the relationship between her mother and herself; 2. how the author handled these critical relationships in her life; and 3. how the author changed her value judgment and philosophy after the event. This thesis was composed of seven chapters. The first chapter described the author's background and educational experiences, as well as the reason why the topic was chosen. The second chapter was about the events during the first year after the death of the author’s mother. The third chapter was about related literature and the author’s response toward the literature. The forth chapter was about the framework and methods of the thesis. The fifth chapter was about the author’s expectation of her future life. The sixth chapter was related to the transformation of the author’s self image and the last chapter was the courage that the author has gained from the retrospective experiences.
