The electricity sources for most toys are dry batteries, mercury batteries, and soda batteries. These batteries waste precious natural resources and create environmental pollution. The purpose of this research is to apply proton membrane fuel cells to toys, and assess its feasibility. The study uses Taguchi Methods to analyses the “Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Power Supply and Work Module for Toys”. The longest operation time was 5521.4 seconds almost 92 minutes, for a 15268.14 mm3 volume of the gas; the initial pressure value of the gas is 0.188 N/m2, and electric load motor is 11.7Ω.The study assembled the proton exchange membrane fuel cell power supply module in the “Toy of Hydrogen-based Energy Module-Ship of Hydrogen-based Energy” and observes its operation state. It finds that the ship moved forward smoothly, and indicates that hydrogen can be used for this toy. This study uses renewable “Solar Energy” matching “the Proton Exchange Membrane"to design the “Hydrogen and Oxygen Fuel Module”, which creates the hydrogen and oxygen fuel supply for the “Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Power Supply and Work Module” for toys using hydrogen-based energy. Chemical energy in hydrogen is transformed into electricity for the purpose of driving the toys via an electric chemical reaction. One expects that “Hydrogen-based Energy” will become applied extensive to the toy field in the future by way of this study. As application of the Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell expands in our lives, promoted by scientific accomplishments, a clean and pollution-free “Hydrogen-based Energy of Living Perimeter"will be created.
