It develops teachers’ professional knowledge based on combining practical work with theoretical application. The research adopts qualitative research. The main gist is to explore how the student teacher select their practicum school, also to discuss the real situation during the practicum process. Finally, the researcher will induct what attributes that the ideal practicum school might have from the statements of several case studies. The result could be the consultation of the practicum school for the future student teacher’selection. Five student teachers in total participated in this research. One is graduated from a post-bachelor degree in elementary school teacher education and the others studied teacher education programs at their postgraduate stage. The researcher collected the required data by exerting interviews to achieve the research purpose. Also, the findings are presented by coordinating, inducting and analyzing the data. Firstly, from student teachers’viewpoints, an ideal practicum school is a place where it can provide the study opportunity as well as give respects and showed consideration for interns. Also, it would have free elastic space, good practicum atmosphere and professional mentor that can take more care of student teachers. Secondly, the style of the practicum schools would be much more different due to the internal positive characteristics of the school and the student teachers’ individual studying needs. Besides, the scale of the practicum schools is the recessive factor. Thirdly, the action of the practicum schools needs to be presented more systematically. Furthermore, the standard of selecting mentor teachers can be more professional orientation. Lastly, the learning attitudes and the positiveness of the student teachers, how much help that the school staffs can provide would be significant factors that whether the interns can accumulate professional knowledge. Finally, the researcher would provide several suggestions to the student teachers, the practicum schools , the university for teacher-training education and the mentor teacher based on the fore-mentioned suggestions. 周玉秀 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 183 zh-TW
