We cannot ignore the generation quantity of the construction and demolition wastes (C&D wastes) during refurnishing works. In order to handle the refurnishing waste correctly, this thesis tries to build an estimation of generation coefficient model and proposes a management framework for refurnishing waste. This thesis collects 21 refurnishing work samples, using SPSS program and by means of regression analysis to estimate the generation coefficient for refurnishing waste, it’s 0.139t/m2 or 0.231m3/m2 (assume the density of waste is 0.6t/m3), based on the building area. We can also use the coefficient mentioned above to calculate the theory quantity for refurnishing works. Besides, the research conclusion shows that the older the building, the more refurnishing waste. There is more refurnishing waste for brick or commerce-using buildings than for reinforced concrete or home-using buildings. In order to improve the issues for refurnishing waste, this thesis proposes a management framework to manage the refurnishing works by “Industrial Waste Treatment Plan” in accordance with the Waste Disposal Act, frames a 2-phased check system, checking criteria, and administration schedule to implement management measures for refurnishing waste successfully.
