碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 教育研究所 === 95 === The purpose of this research aims to investigating the correlation among self-concept、academic achievement and life adjustment of foreign spouses' children. There are five main objectives :(1)to find out the present situation of self-concept、academic achievement and life adjustment of foreign spouses' children in elementary school. (2)comparing foreign spouses'children with native spouses' children to make careful inquiry about the variation of their self-concept、academic achievement and life adjustment. (3)to make careful inquiry about the variation of foreign spouses' children’s self-concept、academic achievement and life adjustment with different background variables. (4)to realize the correlations among foreign spouses' children’s self-concept、academic achievement and life adjustment. (5)to employ foreign spouses' children’s self-concept and academic achievement as variables to predict their life-adjustment. According to the findings of the research、some relative suggestions would be proposed as references for families、the educational institutions and academic studies. This research used the questionnaire survey method and the participants were including one class of 5th grade students and a class of 6th grade students who study in the elementary school of 23 counties in Taiwan. We chose one elementary from one county. The research selected 1269 students as purposive samples in which 1244 questionnaires were return、among which there are 60 foreign spouses' children and 43 Chinese spouses' children. The measurement applied in this study includes 「Self-Concept Scale」 produced by Dr. Liang、「Academic Achievement Scale」 and 「Elementary School Students Life Adjustment Scale」 produced by myself. According to the collected data、the hypothesis of the research is verified by the statistical methods including descriptive statistics、one-way ANOVA、multi-way ANOVA、Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis. The findings of this research are illustrated as follow: 1. There is significant difference when comparing the degree of self-concept of foreign spouses' children and native spouses' children. There is no significant difference when comparing the academic achievement of foreign spouses' children and native spouses' children. When comparing every level of life adjustment of foreign spouses' children and native spouses' children、only school adjustment shows the significant difference. 2. The degree of self-concept of foreign spouses' children is different because of the academic grade different. It won’t be different because of the sex different、grade different、family economic status different、and parent parenting style different and parent educational background different. 3. The academic achievement of foreign spouses， children is different because of the academic grade of students different. It won’t be different because of the sex different、grade different、family economic status different、and parent parenting style different and parent educational background different. 4. The school adjustment of foreign spouses' children is different because of the sex and academic grade different. The culture adjustment of foreign spouses' children is different because of the family economic status、academic grade and mother parenting style different. 5. The degree of self-concept and academic achievement of foreign spouses' children shows positive correlation. 6. The degree of self-concept and life adjustment of foreign spouses' children shows positive correlation. 7. The academic achievement and most level of life adjustment of foreign spouses' children show positive correlation. 8. While predicting foreign spouses' children’s life adjustment、the research shows that the degree of self-concept and the academic achievement are predictable. keyword：Foreign spouses' children、 Self-concept、Academic achievement、Life adjustment.
