It is apt to cause the damage of the function when use excessively or inappropriately, especially to Temporomandibular joint. It controls the movement of mouth, and has a great influence of eating and speaking. But common people are apt to be injured the joint degradating because of lacking maintaining. In this thesis, we cooperated with National Taiwan University Hospital. They provided TMJ patients and many valuable knowledge for us in order to construct an expert system for TMJ diagnosis by sound signals. We adopted autoregressive model and adaptive segmentation to analysis these signals. Examine the way with simple invading quantity, go still one step further to understand the situation within the patient''s Temporomandibular joint. We focus our research on finding the difference between the early periods of TMJ arthritis patients and the later ones. Among the target of analyzing, we got 32 TMJ arthritis patients of left side; 23 TMJ arthritis patients of right side, all classified by the clinical attending doctor’s diagnosis. We also used the one-way ANOVA analysis to test all the characteristic values we used. We could find some useful variables by signal processing technologies. Variable like average intraclass distance and spectral power ratio of dominant poles at 200Hz above can already reach very good differentiation result. 李枝宏 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 90 zh-TW
