As result in the polymer chain of PP does not have the special function group, it is difficult to coating and printing on its surface. So there are many kinds of treatment ways such as chemicals, corona, flame, and plasma treatment. This essay mentions and research about flame treatment. During the combustion of mixture gas, there are many free radical such as CH group compound, NO, CO, groups links on the PP chain because of the pressure and dynamic flow motions impact and temperature activate the PP surface. After treatment, the BOPP film has strong absorption ability for adhesive and increasing the peal of strength. During the flame treatment, there many factors and parameters need to be considered. Experience and DOE tests design also should be involved. II This essay is focusing on the parameters research during the flame treatment and discussion about the factors find the route for optimization the flame treatment system to get the good recipe.
