Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 資訊管理系 === 95 === As smart environments becoming popular today, many smart systems have been developed in which the user location information is an important ingredient. Many techniques have been proposed for localization. Among them, the Global Positioning System (GPS) is the most popular one which provides exact location information for an outdoor environment. However, the GPS is limited by its Line-of-Sight (LOS) requirement so that it cannot be used in an indoor environment. . In this thesis, we developed an indoor localization system using wireless sensor networks. The proposed localization system uses the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) of the wireless sensor network for locating the position of an indoor user. By considering the remaining electricity level of a sensor, the indoor temperature and the user’s favorite routes in the indoor environment, the developed system is flexible and accurate for indoor localization.
