In the past, there were few large scale cases about deep excavation with pumping groundwater and therefore the case study of using linear superposition and numerical simulation of drawdown in pumping groundwater by group wells is not too much. In this research we use the cases of the pumping induced drawdown in the MRT Taipei Bridge Station. According to the results of single well test, the hydraulic parameters of Chingmei Formation in Taipei are obtained. Then the linear superposition method is used to simulate the drawdown by group wells test and actual excavation pumping. The result of simulation by linear superposition was close to field data. In numerical simulation, we adopt the computer program PMWIN to simulate the pumping induced drawdown, with the consideration of the 2D horizontal single layer.
