After calcining, composite membranes were characterized by SEM, FTIR, BET, TGA, DSC, XRD and GPA for surface morphology, functional groups, porosity, weight loss, crystal structure and gas permeability. Composite membranes that were prepared with boehmite solution were calcined at 450℃. The reaction temperature of boehmite solution was 82℃. The analytical result showed that the composition of PVA/Al2O3 12.38 wt% exhibited the minimal average pore size 30.9558Ǻ, specific surface area 400.8185 m2/g, the best adsorbed gas volume 91.9728 cc/g(STP), and that the composition of 12.38 wt%, Cu/Al2O3 = 0.81 wt% exhibited the minimal average pore size 21.9167 Ǻ, specific surface area 985.7319 m2/g, the best adsorbed gas volume 226.1885 cc/g(STP).
