The dye is the essential element for the thin film, and its amount will directly affect the efficiency of the DSSC. Therefore the thesis will discuss the situations of the dye-absorption for different type of the thin film surfaces In making the electrodes, we choose ITO glass of the same index to grow the thin film. Then we anneal the thin film around 450 OC to obtain Anatase crystal phase of . TiO2. The 3 different types of thin films are complete, concave slot, cylinder . The concave and cylinder ones are made through etching of yellow light. Then the electrodes will be processed by XRD, SEM,UV light absorption, contact angle and measuring the transparency. Finally the electrodes are put in the dye to widen the light absorption area and put the platinum contact. We then inject the electrolyte in between the electrodes to complete the production of the dye-sensitized solar cell. Our results in measuring the surface area of the electrodes provide the a reference scheme for future research on the various parameters in making the solar cell, also promote the production of the large size DSSC.
