Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立虎尾科技大學 === 機械與機電工程研究所 === 95 === Normally a bicycle Hub is made by cold forging to form its required shape & strength. However, biking industry largely depends on trial and error to design a mold and manufacturing process. Thus, it is necessary to utilize theories to analyze design and process for a better quality and lower cost. This document is exactly meant to do so. In a manufacturing process of a cold forged hub, the shaping force and material deformation and a load of a mold punch are analyzed by using DEFORM to evaluate process courses and pre-forming ability. For instance, a forged part which is annealed 3 times and punched at a speed of 40mm/sec. would achieve most optimum stage by downing 3 courses to 2 and thus reducing error rate by 29.45%. this research shows has advantages over conventionally manufacturing process and workability.
