Nevertheless, receiving the information from the external world poses a relative degree of difficulty for those visually impaired. Among the visually impaired individuals, however, the totally blind population only accounts for a minor proportion. A majority of the visually impaired population still exhibit a relative degree of visual functions. How to utilize the effective methods for enhancing the degree of sensitivity to the visual information will be regarded as the purpose of developing the auxiliary gadgets for the visually impaired. In view of this, the main purpose of this research is to develop a set of auxiliary devices specifically for patients diagnosed with color blindness, minimum degree of eyesight, and visual field defects. Though simple experimental diagnoses, subjects were evaluated for their response status in terms of colors, visual fields, and visual sensitivities. Further, the visual deficiencies exhibited by the subjects would then be compensated or adjusted through the theories and techniques based on the human color visual model, image minimization and enlargement, and image enhancement. Synergized with the microscopic imaging instruments, the purpose of assisting the visually impaired individuals to familiarize with the surrounding environment and fortifying the visual senses through the auxiliary visual information system could then be achieved. Lastly, the images were appropriately modified according to each individual’s visual variations for achieving one’s needs for visual information acquisition. 賴金輪 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 117 zh-TW
