X-ray Diffraction(XRD) revealed that the d-spacing of clay platelets increased after blending and formed intercalated nanocomposite. mPE-g-MA could increase the dispersion of clay platelets and expanded its spacing. The mechanical properties were enhanced observed by tear tests. mPE-g-MA can increase the tear strength increase after curing.
