Summary: | 碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 戲劇研究所 === 95 === This thesis is based mainly on the system theory of the “Science of the Theatre Art” to explain the essence of theater is constituted by the mind interaction between the actor and the audience. The "aesthetic boundary" arises in the process of the communication, and it has become the most accomplishment in the bourgeois tradition of theater. This thesis discusses the experiment of the avant-garde theater in the 20th century. Especially the Futurism, which is the trailblazer of the avant-garde movement, makes a great influence on the Dadaism and Surrealism.
The scope of the research will focus on the experiment in the Futurism theater in the 20th century, and the founders of Futurism, Marinetti, who propagandizes the spirit of the Futurism to the world through the clear and schematic declarations. In the theater, the Futurism makes the new performance forms like Evening, Variety, and Synthetic Theater and so on; they have made the experiment on crossing the aesthetic boundary. In the experiment of theater space, they discard the drama and replace it with the light, the stage settings, properties, and abstract designs. This thesis will explicate why and how the Futurism develop the avant-garde movement and their importance, influence and the contribution in the theater.
