There was substantial improvement in the home stay business even before governing regulations were implemented, but unfortunately some unfavorable factors remained. The purpose of this study is to realize the cognition different between manager and tourist in home stay quality, and we hope this study could help to find out the service quality in home stay, and to help improving the service quality in home stay practically. The subjects of this study are the managers and tourists in the Wutai. We got 21 valid questionnaires from home stay managers, 229valid questionnaires from tourists. Statistical analysis ways are Descriptive Statistics, t-test, ANOVA and IPA. Study findings are described as follows: 1. The most managers of home stay are female, the age are above 66 year old, married, the level of education are high school and junior college, conduct above for 4 years, the room counts 2-3, full-time to conduct; The most tourists of home stay are female, the age are 26-35 year old , married, the level of education are junior college, work on servicing business, month income with 2-30,000 and come from the south region. 2. Managers in valuing degree differed significantly with ages,and in practical degree differed significantly with the level of education and conduct time; tourists in anticipate degree differed significantly with ages, the level of education, profession and location. 3. Managers have cognition differences in valuing and practical; tourists have cognition differences in anticipate and satisfactory; the quality servic cognition differences between home stay managers and tourists are in satisfactory and practical service performance. 4. In addition to important performance analysis; IPA, there are 4outcomes of the important performance analysis : 15 service quality settled in A quadrant(keep up the good work), 7 service quality settled in B quadrant(possible overkill), 12 service quality settled in C quadrant(low priority),and 10 service quality settled in D quadrant (concentrate here).
