| Summary: | 碩士 === 東吳大學 === 經濟學系 === 95 === This paper focus on 15 power and electric wire and cable listing companies in Taiwan during 2003 to 2005. We evaluate firms efficiency by BCC model, Super SBM efficiency model, and Malmquist productivity index, with further categorize into four dimensions by the super efficiency value and average productivity to analysis their performance. The empirical result shows:
1. The empirical results by Super SBM efficiency model shows the firms ranking of efficiency of top three in 2003 are Walsin, Hegroup, Dahsan; the top three from 2004 to 2005 are Walsin, Luxe, Jung Shing; And the bad three from 2003 to 2005 are Allis, Hwacom, Fortune, so the model could solve the problem of rank as 1 of efficiency value.
2. Use Malmquist productivity index to estimate the productivity change of different periods of the firms, the empirical result shows the productivity index progresses comes from the progress of technology mainly.
3. With further categorize into four dimensions by the super efficiency value and average productivity, finding out Luxe, Walsin, Tai-I, Evertop, and Jung Shing that have certain management efficiency and they have the potential of moving forward.
