碩士 === 東吳大學 === 經濟學系 === 95 === In mainland China attracts the various countries to compete to invest the layout the new economical market. Taiwan enterprise is facing the internal wages to surge upward, the cost of building workshop are rising, environmental protection consciousness so they have transfers their business toward to China. Mainland China have several advantages which are wide territory, low labor cost, the same race and language to Taiwanese, therefore, it had become the main place for Taiwan’s electron industry to invest. This research is mainly focus on analysis Taiwan enterprise performance in mainland China. The main research objects in this paper are companies who category in information listed electron industry in Taiwan. The research period is taken from 2004 to 2006 and there are one hundred and fifty-three firms are taken as samples from Taiwan economy new newspaper date bank. Also, the paper using the data envelopment analysis is material envelope to estimate the firm efficiency index. From the research, we find that the Enterprises which moved their production lines to China had higher average production performance. It indicates that manufacturing in China have advantage of low cost which crate a positive effects to the Businesses. According to the efficiency index, helping industries find the right target and facing globalization, enterprises must allocate their resources in most effective way. This research paper also can be used as reference for the information electronics industry which is formulates the mainland investment strategy.
