Description
Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 資訊管理學研究所(含碩專班) === 95 === The ERP system has been widely recognized as the most essential IT backbone construction and a most efficient management application among worldwide companies. It is also the first step for companies march toward their eBusiness and international market. Attracted by the benefit of the implementing of an ERP system that can significantly increase the business competitiveness, countless companies urge to undertake this implementation process. However; most of the implementation projects suffered delays and even stopped due to the great complexity and the vast scope which covers all business area such as sales, purchasing, manufacturing and financial functions. The ERP system implementation, an overall information integration process, which is full of risks and uncertainty, has become a great challenge of project management. Technical articles and literatures expose the key factors result in project failure or success. However, the dynamic relationships between factors are not taken into account. An individual control on the key factor could ultimately lead to another risk occur. By studying the ERP implementation methodologies and collecting the key success factors, this thesis concluded 4 major implementation phases accompanying with related key factors accordingly. The first section of this research is a survey conducted based on previous studying result to measure the influence of each key factor collected. In the second section of this research, providing an insight regarding ERP implementation by a system thinking approach, experts aimed at the most significant factors to analyze the cause and effect relationship with other factors to reveal the dynamic aspect of the key factors which success or failure is depend on the interaction of those key success factors. The deliverables of this section were then transformed into the System Dynamic models as a guidance of the risk management of an ERP implementation project. Finally, this research simulated the project time behavior of different risk management scenarios by the aid of the computer simulation tool – Versim. The experiment result validated the risk control decisions made by only considering a single factor could eventally result in an inverse result as expected. The ERP project output is the synergy of interactions among all factors.
