There are some excellent models have been developed for acquiring plane painting images. However, no reliable model was developed to date for 3D objects. The study aims to develop a good image acquiring model for bronze wares, potteries and eoliths archived by National Academia Sinica. First, we calibrated exposure values and gray balance using GretagMacbeth ColorChecker target. Afterward, adjustment was made on lightness, contrast and saturation respectively in GretageMacbth PofileEditor to generate different version of reproductions. Then a psychophysical experiment was performed to judge ‘accuracy’ and ‘pleasantness’ of the reproductions. The results suggest that increasing the three parameters slightly would improve the ‘accuracy’. However, the magnitude of ‘pleasantness’ is image type dependent. Potteries need higher contrast and saturation. The most accuracy image files were printed by a large-format printer with different ICC profiles. 5 lightness adjustment levels were tested visually to judge the ‘accuracy’ of the reproductions. The experimental results suggest that darker bronze ware reproductions and brighter pottery and eolith reproductions were more accuracy in color compared to their originals. The findings are useful to people working on digital archive. Pei-li Sun Hung-shing Chen 孫沛立 陳鴻興 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 99 zh-TW
