Description
Summary:碩士 === 聖約翰科技大學 === 電機工程系碩士班 === 96 === Globe Position System (GPS) has become very hot and popular modern-product recently in the world and its related products is rapidly developing. Take car GPS was largely sold in Asian Car market and are used to find certain position or location of touring journey as direction guider. But its function is more than that such as aged people lost their way home, kids were kidnapped, cargo trucks distributed. All need GPS to get proper action to solve the problems. But only using GPS, especially in car GPS, the function was constrained by its receiver modules so some of them couldn’t be used in other cases such finding lost aged people and kidnapped kids. In this study, we tried to combine GPS and GSM modules to integrate a system to posit the people or projects we want to locate. The basic theory was that almost everyone owning the cell-phone (its core is a GSM module), and if we called the person who brings the GSM module that embedded in a GPS system, the responded ringing signals would be sent to satellite out-space and transmitted to GPS receiver on the ground. After decoding the data from satellite, we can precisely posit the people or projects we want to find. In this paper, first we explore related literature about GPS, GSM, GPRS, and then design the GPS/GSM module with W77E58 microprocessor which has two RS-232 ports to meet our request to finished decoding system and wrote graphic interface with Visual Basic language by ourselves. Finally, after testing and experiment, the system was proved successful.
