Description
Summary:碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 應用設計研究所 === 95 === Abstract The proverb is the essence of ancestors’ wisdom from life. Various collection of the anthology have been introduced in the world so far; most of them explain the meaning of the proverbs and elaborate the history of the proverbs, but not commonly discuss about the subjects related to Taiwanese proverbs in picture books. The local proverbs represent the culture, experience and history of local people, which should be preserved and implemented to Taiwanese teaching from upside down. Even though Taiwanese is our mother language, we are actually not familiar with Taiwanese proverbs, even we can say we know nothing about them. In addition, the young generation or children don’t know how to “say” or use these proverbs with deep cultural meanings behind. Therefore, teaching how to say it correctly and use it in an appropriate way is the main objective of this research. Moreover, the teaching material for children about Taiwanese learning is not as diversified as that about English. To be able to be more diversified and enrich the contents of the teaching material about Taiwanese, the major concern of this experimental material is to preserve and to spread out the culture and significance of Taiwanese proverbs, which is what we do our best for Taiwanese teaching. In this study, Huang Wen - Po author “Proverb story of Tainan County” of Chiku Proverbs, Take “some people/families are happy while some people/families are sad” as example for the structure of picture books, the wooden tub and waist tubs are two of the very important dowry for bride at that time, and their background implies the necessary obligation and efforts for women at home in the traditional society. The wooden tub, the traditional technique in the society in Taiwan for old time, has been diminished gradually. Different size and different appearance of the wooden tub apply for different purpose, which can not mix up or misunderstand. We regard this traditional technique as very important and significant of its historical meaning and we should respect that with our full attention and efforts. The proverbs related to the wooden tub are very extensively used, and this is only for trial experiment.
