| Summary: | 碩士 === 亞洲大學 === 經營管理學系碩士班 === 95 === The purpose of this study was to understand local medical institutions’ willingness for and current situations of the development of the medical tourism and investigate the main factors in the development of medical tourism by medical institutions in Taiwan. Based on factors of the industry environment and organizational properties, a theoretic framework of effects on proactivity of strategy was proposed. Thus, the causal relationships in the above-mentioned framework were verified through a quantitative research.
This study selected hospitals above the regional level in Taiwan as research subjects. A total of 461 questionnaires were distributed, and 182 returned. Excluding 16 invalid copies, 166 valid samples were collected. The valid response rate was 36%. The research findings showed that “accreditation level”, “level of environmental abundance”, “level of organizational centralization”, and “organizational prestige” are influential to the proactivity of strategy for the development of medical tourism by hospital managers.
