Description
Summary:碩士 === 東海大學 === 教育研究所 === 95 === This research highlights the correlative factors with the smoking behaviors of undergraduate students. The special project “Anti-smoking plan in the college campus” was sponsored by the Bureau of Health. Hence, the faculty of Tunghai University carried out a “No-smoking campus easy go” plan for the undergraduate students in order to improve an understanding all disadvantages resulted by smoking behaviors and promoted non-smoking conception. The researcher conducted a campus survey and used the statistical techniques including descriptive statistics, chi-square test, independent t test, and one-way ANOVA…etc to realize the effect of the non-smoking campus project. According to this research conclusion, 17.80% students had smoking behaviors, which includes 62.63% male students and 37.37% female students. 47.36% smoking students keep smoking, and 52.64% smoking students quit smoking. 23.68% students smoked first time in the campus and their classmates and friends invited 64.74% of them to smoke first time. 73.62% students have smoking friends (from at least one friend to 50% friend have smoking behaviors). Therefore, the students’ friends influence the student smoking or not. However, after talking to 190 smoking students, the researcher found that 22.63% students would like to quite smoking from now on. Regarding the smoking conception, experimental group is more positive than control group. And, the attitude and behaviors of experimental group is more positive than the attitude of behaviors of experimental group. But, the result related to the anti-smoking behavior is not statistically significant. Finally, the faculty needs to strengthen the conceptions of the law and ethic related to smoking for the campus students, and educates students to say ”no” for the secondhand smoke. To have non-smoking campus needs all faculties and students to follow anti-smoking instruction and regulation. Anyway, the non-smoking plan needs more time to be fully carried out and reach its final goal.
