Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所 === 95 === The purpose of this study was to explore the professional competencies that training instructors should possess and have possessed in life insurance industry, as well as the differences of competencies among these qualified training instructors with various backgrounds. This study was conducted with the method of questionnaire survey. This study used self-designed questionnaire, entitled “The professional competencies of training instructors in the life insurance industry”, to be the instrument of the research. The survey was distributed to 290 training instructors in the life insurance industry and the number of the valid returning copies was 193, resulting in the valid return ratio of 66.55%. Statistical analysis employed were frequency distribution, percentage analysis, mean, standard deviation, t-test, pearson’s correlation analysis, one-way MANOVA, and one-way ANOVA. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1.Training instructors in insurance industry should possess professional competencies in five domains-Basic Specialty, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Instructional Plan, Instructional Implementation, and Instructional Evaluation and Test, including 47 competencies. 2.The degree of importance of professional competencies which training instructors should possess was middle-high. 3.The degree of self-assessment performance regarding the competencies of the training instructors was middle-high. 4.The significance of performance of the male instructors that shown in the study was higher than female instructors. 5.The result regarding the performance of the instructors with different age was not significant. 6.The result regarding the performance of the instructors with different level of education was not significant. 7.The significance of performance of the instructors with non-business degree was higher than those with business degree. 8.The significance of performance of the instructors with more than 10-year teaching experiences was higher than those with less than 3-year teaching experiences. 9.The competencies that training instructors of insurance industry should possess were significant than those that training instructors have possessed. Finally, recommendations based on the findings and conclusions of the study were proposed for life insurance industry、training instructors and future study.
